Welcome to the new RonHillImagery.com

Welcome to the new Ronhillimagery.com To start let’s take a look at the site’s features and functionality.
Site Features:

Search-ability: Located on the top right of the navigation bar is our search query that will locate anything on our site.

Navigation: There are 4 types of navigation.

#1- The aforementioned “Search Query”.

#2- The orthodox navigation bar located at the top of each page.

#3- Our “News and Resources” menu located on the right-hand side, about halfway down the page.  Our intention with this site is to continue to add content through our blog on a weekly to bi-weekly schedule.  Information about the video production industry, equipment manuals, new equipment, demos, tips and tutorials will all be archived here.

#4- Links incorporated on each page or article.  (i.e. If  “services” are mentioned within the content of a page, it doubles as a link to the Services page.)

Twitter widget: In adhering to the new world standards of communication through social media, Ron Hill Imagery is coming of age… or perhaps digressing.  Either way, the purpose of this is to bring relevant information to you from anywhere on the planet. No, we will not tell you what we are having for lunch, unless it is awesome. But, if we are looking for personnel for a shoot or have an upcoming event or promotion, we’ll send a tweet.  Later, I will post an article in our blog on how to use your Google alerts to notify you anytime we tweet.

RSS feed: For those not familiar with RSS, I will give a brief overview.  Essentially RSS (really simple syndication) allows a user to subscribe to a site’s content.  Anytime a site is updated, that information will then be available to the user through his RSS client. The one I use is News Net Wire (for mac) and Feed Demon (for PC).   It keeps all my subscriptions up to date. (and yes i like PCs)  You can also subscribe and have the content emailed to you. The benefit of an RSS client is that if you have more than one subscription, it helps keep them organized. Then, with a few clicks you can see all new content from all your favorite sites in one spot.

Book Crew: On the right side of our homepage,  just below the slideshow is the “Book Crew” link.  Click it.  It is easy and quick to get your crew booked.  Fill out the form, hit “send” and within an hour you will receive confirmation of your request.

Gallery: Although the Gallery is not complete, we felt that launching ronhillimagery.com was “priority one”.  Stay tuned to the blog and we will let you know once we get it up and running. We are going to include not only our work, but Equipment Demos, Behind the Scenes, Tutorials and other useful categories.

Blog: I have pretty much covered the blog. Like I said, our goal is to update it at least every other week.

More invaluable features are coming. If there is any feature or improvement that you would like to see, or if you just want to say “hey”, do so by leaving a comment.
